Eastern Maine Snowmobilers, Inc.
December 2005 Club News
Nothing like the first snow to get things going! Once the ground turns white, our attitude changes and we are now anxious to do what we have talked about and planned for all summer. In all the excitement please keep safety in mind. After all the rain we have received in recent weeks, water is in places you may not be expecting to find it, and none of it is frozen yet! As snow continues to accumulate and you head out for the first ride, please be a little extra careful until the trails get established.
As many of you know, Troy Grass asked to resign his position as our Vice President due to personal reasons. At the November meeting Dain Bryant stepped forward, offering to complete the remainder of Troy’s term. A vote was held and we now have a new VP. Dain has been a member of our club for many years and has served on our Board of Directors for quite some time as well. Thanks Dain, for all you have done and continue to do for our club.
Our next meeting is December 18th, with a potluck supper at 6pm and meeting at 7pm,
followed by our Yankee Swap Christmas Party. If you would like to participate, bring a unisex gift, of no more than a $10.00 value, with you this Sunday. We draw numbers and everyone takes their turn at the tree. If you have children, please bring a gift for them with their name on it. Come join the fun!
Also we will be hosting our Annual EMSC New Year’s Eve Dance from 8:30 to 1:00 here at the club, just $20.00 per couple. Music by “DJ Dain” Ice, mix and party favors will be available. Tell your friends and come help us welcome in 2006!
Our annual Hunter’s Breakfast showed a profit of $508.31, sold 7 cookbooks, 1 hat, 72 Super Raffles and 7 memberships. Thanks to all that helped make this event a success!
300 Club Tickets are still available! If you, or someone you know would like a ticket, contact Brent at 989-7762 or see him at the clubhouse Sunday night. You could be a big winner Sunday!
November’s Pot of Gold Drawing for $10.00 was Brewer Car Wash / Dave Holland. Dave was not present to collect, so this month’s will be $15.00.
