Eastern Maine Snowmobilers, Inc.

March 2005 Club News

Hello everyone,

What a great season this has become! Both locally and statewide snowmobilers have had excellent conditions to enjoy. I hope all of you have taken the time from your busy schedules to get out and take advantage of the outstanding riding.

Our next club supper/meeting is this Sunday, March 20th, with a potluck supper at 6pm and a membership meeting at 7:00. At the last meeting there was some discussion about updating some of our grooming equipment, so you might want to come join in.

Have you bought any raffle tickets yet? Our Spring Raffle is in full swing with an Old Town Guide Canoe, an Otter Kayak and a rafting trip in the Forks all to be given away. Tickets are available at the club, by mail or at B&D Marine’s booth at the Maine Sportsman’s Show this weekend.

As great as this season has been all good things must come to an end. Our kitchen will be closing for the season after this weekend, as we need to prepare for the upcoming rental season. Our annual spring clean up is scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd at 8am. Please come lend a hand for an hour or two and help make the place Spic & Span for our rentals.

Keep in mind our Spring Yard Sale on May 21st as you are doing your own spring-cleaning this year. We are seeking donated items to sell to help raise money to operate the club. This was a huge success in it’s first year and we hope to make it even bigger this year.

We would like to welcome our new members: Greg & Lebra Bergeron of Bradley, Stephen & Deborah Saliba and Timothy Gontarz of Brewer and Victor & Tracy Smith of Holden. WELCOME ALL!  After our February meeting, our membership stood at 142 so far this season.

Our 300 Club Winners for February were:
