Eastern Maine Snowmobilers, Inc.

November 2005 MSA Newsletter

Hello everyone,

We, like so many other clubs statewide, have been busy with our pre-snow activities. Our annual Landowner’s Recognition Dinner was held on October 16th and trail work continues weekly, as we all eagerly await the first snowfall. Our Annual Hunter’s Breakfast will be held on November 12th this year. This is a week later than usual due to some conflicting dates, so you still have time to join us Saturday from 4:30 to 8:30am at the clubhouse.

Another activity that has been very busy at our club has been our rentals. Janet and Mike’s phone has been ringing off the wall all season from people wanting to rent our clubhouse for everything from wedding receptions and birthday parties to business meetings. Please keep us in mind if you need a facility in the Bangor area for your family event. Reservations can be booked by calling Janet at 989-9769. And thanks to both of you for the fine job you have done for our club already!

Our club hosted a regional meeting for area clubs on October 21st. This is always a great opportunity for clubs to get together and discuss the area trail system, share ideas on activities and events for the upcoming season, and help improve the sport of snowmobiling in our neighborhood.

Super Raffle sales have been ongoing at some of our local businesses and members have been buying tickets as they renew their memberships. We also had the opportunity this year to sell tickets at the MSA show in Augusta. Our own “Super Lew” continues to do a great job heading this key fundraiser for our club.

I have already heard the question raised this season as to just when we can expect the now famous “snow dance” from our president. I guess we will just have to wait and see, but I sure hope it has the same results as last year’s!

We at the Eastern Maine Snowmobilers would like to wish all of you an enjoyable Thanksgiving with your families and friends.

If you would like more information about our club, you can contact us at PO Box 226 Brewer 04412, 989-2788 or at the website listed above.

Until next month,

Jim
