November 2007 Club News
Hi Everyone,
It has been a very busy month at the Eastern Maine Snowmobile Club. On the 3rd we had a baked bean supper put on by employees of UPS. We had a good turn out considering the weather. The 10th was the Hunters’ Breakfast. The turn out for the breakfast was good as well. I want to thank everyone that helped with both of these events. Without the many volunteers these fundraisers would not be possible.
The next event is November 17th - The Craft Fair. This I understand is shaping up nicely. As of Monday morning, there were 22 tables sold to crafters. Sounds like there will be a lot of crafters and their goods at the craft fair. This would be a good time for people to get an early start on their Christmas shopping. Thanks go out to Sis Rice and Danielle Littlefield for organizing this event.
There are currently 10 rooms booked for the club trip on February 15 and 16. There are 5 remaining. If you want to go on the club trip, book now! Call the Gateway Inn in Medway. The rooms are in my name. This should be a good time. Hopefully we have snow.
The meeting this month is Sunday, November 18th and it will be a Pot Luck. So get out the old recipe book and show us what a great cook you are. Of course maybe you don’t need a recipe book. I couldn’t cook with or without a recipe book. After supper the meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Also this is the first month for the 300 club drawing. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet see Brent Spaulding prior to the beginning of the meeting.
Paul Gargan is the new club treasurer and Danielle Littlefield is now in charge of hospitality. Thanks go out to both for taking on these positions.
Larry still needs help on the trails Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to noon. He has some large projects this year with re-routes, so many people are needed. Larry had thought we would be able to get a small machine for these re-routes however the large amount of rain we have had took care of that!
In closing I would like to welcome all new members to the Eastern Maine Snowmobile Club. We all look forward to seeing you and meeting you. I would also like to wish all members a great Thanksgiving Holiday.
