Eastern Maine Snowmobilers, Inc.
October 2004 MSA Newsletter
Hello everyone,
We at the Eastern Maine Snowmobilers officially kicked off our 34th season on September 26th with our annual open house and chicken barbeque. This was a well attended event; with local dealers displaying new sleds, members joining for the year, Super Raffle and 300 club tickets on sale, and as always plenty to eat and lots of conversation. Later that evening we held our first meeting of the year and those attending shared in what has been happening through the summer and began making plans for this season.
On October 19th we will hold are annual landowner recognition supper and meeting. This is always a big event as we have so many people to thank for their generosity and willingness to allow us the use of their property for our trail system. It cannot be overstated: Thank you Landowners all across the State for allowing snowmobilers the use of your land so that we may enjoy our sport and the beauty of Maine!
Also in October we will host a Halloween party/dance on the 23rd at our clubhouse from 8:30-1pm. On November 6th we will hold our annual Hunter’s Breakfast from 4:30-8:30am, at our clubhouse. These events are open to all, so come join in the fun.
Trail work has begun; please let our Trailmaster know when you are available to do your share. If everyone does their part, the trails will be ready to enjoy when snow comes. To find out how you can help call Larry at 989-6472 or call the club phone for the trail day schedule.
New! With the help of one of our neighbors we now have a website for our club. Many thanks Mark! Check us out at www.easternmainesnowmobilers.com for the latest news, services and some history about our organization. As always you can reach the club phone at 989-2788 or at PO Box 226, Brewer, ME 04412.
Until November,
Jim
