Eastern Maine Snowmobilers, Inc.

October 2007 Club News

Hi All,

Well we are another month closer to winter and as I write this months newsletter there is certainly a chill in the air.  Hopefully it is a positive sign of an early snowfall.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Well we have a lot going on at the Eastern Maine Snowmobile Club in the next month and a half.  Things are getting very busy.  I hope you all have a chance to come out and participate in all or some of the events.  They are as follows:

  • October 21st (this Sunday coming):  Landowner Appreciation Supper at 6:00 and meeting following.

  • November 3rd:  United Parcel Service Benefit Baked Bean Supper, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.  All proceeds benefit our club.  Desserts will be needed.

  • November 10th:  Annual Hunters’ Breakfast, 4:30 – 8:30 a.m.

  • November 17th:  Holiday Craft Fair, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Crafters are needed.  Please contact Sis Rice at 989-5521 if you want to get a table to sell your items or know of someone who might want to.

Also Larry needs help with trail work on Sundays, 8:00 a.m. – noon.  Meet at the clubhouse.  There is a lot to get done before we hit the trails.

I want to thank the members who have bought or sold the Super Raffle tickets so far.  If things continue we may meet our goal for the year.

Also, I would like to welcome back past members and new members to the club.  I look forward to seeing you at events and suppers.  Please make it a point to come out and participate in the many events we have through the year.  Visit with old friends and make some new friends.

Speaking of events, there are still rooms available for the club trip to Medway on February 15 & 16, 2008.  Call the Gateway Inn (746-3193) and book a room.  We will have a good time I am sure.

As always if you have any questions or concerns about what is going on at the club, please feel free to call me, 825-3202 (home) or 852-5115 (cell).
