Hello again everyone,

 

     After a stretch of what some of us call hot, muggy and uncomfortable weather, we are starting to see some cooler nights and drier days. With these changes we can’t help but begin to think of our upcoming snowmobiling season. We at the Eastern Maine Snowmobilers are ready and waiting for the fun to begin!

     Most of our Officers; Marty White-President, Troy Grass-Vice President and Jim White-Secretary are returning for another term, while we have a new Treasurer this year, Nancy Flagg. Nancy served as Secretary for our club a few years ago and we are all looking forward to working with her again. Also new this season, Eric Petley has agreed to take a Director’s position. Welcome and thank you Nancy and Eric!

     We will be kicking-off the 2005-2006 season on September 25^th with our annual Open House and Chicken Barbeque, from 2-6pm. As always, if your membership is renewed on or before that day the barbeque is free! This is also a great chance for those of you in the area that have thought of joining us in the past, but never have, to stop by, check us out, and join the fun! We are at 263 Levenseller Road, Holden.

     Have you heard about the snowmobiles the MSA is giving away in their Super Raffle this year?!! Four new machines with electric start and reverse. Our own “Super Lew” Tourtillotte has heard the news and is very excited about it. Lew and his crew have already been busy selling tickets and booking locations to sell more. You can meet Super Lew, and buy a winning ticket, at Wal-Mart in Brewer on September 17^th & October 29^th, Brewer Mardens on November 27^th & December 4^th, or at the MSA Show in Augusta on October 7^th. You must have a ticket to win and they’re only two bucks!!! See Lew today!

     Are you looking for a place to hold a family function? Our clubhouse is available for rent April thru December for weddings, receptions, anniversaries, birthday parties and such. For more information about renting, contact Janet at 989-9769 or at our website.
