Eastern Maine Snowmobilers, Inc.
September 2006 Club News
Hello Everyone!
As the leaves turn color it reminds me what is ahead of us, and I hear that we’ll be getting a fair amount of snow (but please don’t hold me accountable to this). September is also the month that the clubhouse is getting ready for another season as we kick off our 36th season on Sunday, September 24th with our Open House and Chicken BBQ from 2-6 p.m. As in the past, the meal will be free to those renewing their membership on or before that day and for new members. Remember whoever signs up the most new members at the Open House/Chicken BBQ will get a free membership for the season! Pass the word!
The club will provide punch and snacks throughout the afternoon. However, if you would like to bring snacks or sweets to share with everyone please feel free to do so.
Also, we are organizing a “Game Drive” at the Open House. If you have board games, puzzles, books, coloring books, crayons, etc. that you would like to donate, please bring them to the Open House. We are gathering these items for everyone’s enjoyment.
The 300 Tickets for the 2006/2007 season will be out later this month, and if at all possible, Brent would like to collect the full $30.00 at the time of the ticket sale. The more people that do this, the easier it is to run the raffle. For more information, contact Brent at 989-7762 or 944-7762.
As in the past, keys to the clubhouse are available to members wishing one for $1.00 each at the Open House. As a friendly reminder, if you do go to the club, please leave it in the same condition as when you arrived. The club house is available for rentals from April through December, and I would like to make sure that no extra cleaning is needed prior to an event. For more information on club rentals, contact Joanne Garrison at catrider550@adelphia.net or call 299-8952 or contact our website.
Lew Tourtillotte reminds us that EMSC will be kicking off our 2006/2007 Super Raffle Campaign beginning with our WEEKEND AT MARDEN’S in Brewer on Saturday, September 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and also Sunday, September 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Yes we know it’s the same day as our Open House but we will close us in time for the BBQ.) We will be located just inside the doors and will have a Snowmobile and Four Wheeler on display outside. Note that all Super Raffle Ticket sales will be held at Marden’s in Brewer this season. NOW…I need your help…I need volunteers to sell that weekend. Usually there are 2 to 4 people per a 2-hour shift as shown below.
