Hello and HAPPY SPRING! 

Our next meeting is Sunday, March 21^st at 7:00 p.m. with a Pot Luck supper starting at 6:00.  Larry Lafland is heading up this year’s Nominating Committee and will present their slate at the Annual Meeting on April 18^th.  The Board of Directors meeting is at 5:00.

I’m sure I’m not alone wishing that the sledding season would have lasted longer than it did.  Sad to say, but the club house will be closing for the season on March 26^th, meaning our last supper is scheduled on March 19^th.  Spring cleaning is scheduled on Saturday, March 27^th, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The more hands we have, the quicker we can finish and prepare the club for the upcoming rental season, which begins April 1^st.  Many thanks to Carol Ashe for cooking on the weekends and to the volunteers who cooked Friday nights.

The club continues to hold fundraising activities to pay off the mortgage we assumed to rebuild the club after the fire 3 years ago.  We’re always thinking of different ways to raise money so with that in mind, an EMSC YARD SALE is being organized by Lisa Gargan and Joanne Garrison on Saturday, May 29th at 1192 Main Road in Eddington.   As you’re doing your spring cleaning, clean-up or clean-out, please keep us in mind.  In addition to items of donation, we will have a bake table.  Volunteers are needed the night before to set up and price items and the day of the yard sale.   We will accept all items in good condition – please no computers or TV’s.  More information will be coming your way.

Larry Lafland has raffle tickets for a $100 gift certificate from Dysarts.  I believe they are $1.00 each/$5.00 for 6.  The drawing will be held in April with all proceeds going towards the mortgage.  Tickets will be available at the March meeting.  However if you would like to sell tickets contact Larry at 843-7813 and let him know how many books you’ll need.

$50 –  Marshall Strout.   There are two more drawings for the season – Brent Spaulding has tickets available now and the night of the March and April meetings. 

Rental season is upon us and I want to remind you that if you’re planning an event or know of someone who needs a place to hold their event, contact me.  A calendar is available on our web site showing availability.   Our weekend rates are $300.00 for non-members and $150.00 for members.   I’ve had several bookings so far, so don’t wait.  Call me at 843-0749 or e-mail catrider550@roadrunner.com.   We had a very successful rental season last year of 22 rentals.  My goal is to top that number this year.
