EASTERN MAINE SNOWMOBILE CLUB

October 2011 Newsletter

Hello,

First of all I’d like to welcome our new members:  Brady & Heather Harris of Brewer;  Daniel & Julie Monroe of Holden; William Clark of Ellsworth; Michael Fitzpatrick and Dylan Fitzpatrick of Brewer;, and Jim & Christina Spencer of Brewer.  Welcome back Derrick & Anna Robertson of Holden.

We honor our landowners with the annual EMSC Landowner’s Dinner on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.   As in the past, Larry and Eileen will prepare the dinner.   In order to account for the food please call Larry and Eileen at 843-7813 no later than October 13th and let them know you’ll attend.   Please plan to attend to say “THANK YOU” to our landowners who allow us to use their land to connect to local trails.  The club meeting follows at 7:00.

The Board of Directors meeting is Wednesday, October 12 at 6:30 p.m.

If you attended the Open House in September you had the opportunity to complete a Membership Survey.   As we move forward, the Officers and Board members want to hear from you.  We believe it will be the members’ voice that will bring change to the EMSC.  Enclosed is a survey for you to complete and return.  For those who receive the survey via

e-mail (1) open the word document, (2) complete the survey and (3) forward the document to catrider550@roadrunner.com or vz806@hotmail.com or tseymour2@myfairpoint.net or Maineshamrock56@aol.com.

For the members who receive the newsletter by USPS, complete and return the survey using the self-addressed envelope provided.

The Annual Craft Fair will be held at the EMSC on Saturday, November 19th from 9:00 – 3:00.  Most of the tables are rented however if you know of anyone who would be interested in participating please ask them to call Joanne (843-0749), Lisa (843-5811) or Pam (659-7541).   Again, we would love to have bake goods donated and dropped off either the night before (between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.) or the morning of the fair.   Come and check out the items that these very talented crafters have made.  It’s a great way to get started on your Christmas shopping particularly for that person “that has everything”.  We look forward to another successful year.
