EASTERN MAINE SNOWMOBILE CLUB

September 2011 Newsletter

Hello!

It’s hard to believe that the snowmobile season is upon us and we’re planning this year’s events, meetings, etc.   After a perfect summer, one can only hope that our winter will be just as “perfect”.

The season starts off with the Annual EMSC Open House and BBQ on Sunday, September 18th starting at 3:00.  Eileen will be at the membership table ready for you to renew your membership while vendors display the newest machines and trailers.   Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served at 3:00.  As in the past the BBQ will be free to those renewing memberships.  The first club meeting of the season follows the BBQ at 6:00.

We would like to invite EMSC business members to promote their products and services during the open house.  If you are a business member and would like to set up a table with promotional items, please contact Eileen at 843-7813.  All are welcome!

The Board of Directors meeting is Wednesday, September 14th at 6:30 p.m.

Super Raffle tickets will be available at $2.00 each or six for $10.00.   Prizes awarded this year will be posted.

Brent Spaulding will have 300 Club tickets to sell again this year for a chance to win $500, $200, $100, and four $50.00 pots at each club meeting from November to April.   You don’t have to be a club member to purchase 300 club tickets so inform your friends, family, co-workers of this opportunity to win cash.

A “Silent Auction” will take place as well.  There will be many items donated by members to bid on.

Enclosed is the Schedule of Events for your information and to post to your calendars.  A few events this year are the Landowners Recognition Dinner on Sunday, October 16; Annual EMSC Hunters Breakfast on November 5;  and Annual EMSC Craft Fair on Saturday, November19.   Club meetings are held the third Sunday monthly, September through April at 7:00 p.m.

The Board of Directors wants to hear from you.  With that said an “EMSC Members Survey” will be available for you to complete at the open house and throughout the season.   It is the members’ voice that will be crucial to the future of EMSC.

I personally want to thank all of those who helped at the yard sale and those who dropped off donations.  The club made a profit of $863.00!!!!

I look forward to seeing you at the Open House Sunday, September 18th
