September 2009 Newsletter
Hello
Everyone,
Fall is here and it’s time to
plan for the upcoming snowmobile season. Trail work will soon begin - stay tuned
for more details. Larry will be
needing help to make sure our trails are the best they can be.
Sue Tuholski has stepped
forward and is the official EMSC web manager. Her contact information is on our
website so if you have any suggestions to make please contact Sue. She’s going to do an awesome job for us.
The Annual Eastern Maine
Snowmobile Club Open House and BBQ is on Sunday, September
27th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the club. Eileen Lafland,
our Membership Chairperson, will be there to renew your membership. If you’re unable to attend the BBQ
you’ll find enclosed a membership form that you can complete and return to
Eileen to the address noted on the form.
Rain or shine, Tom Seymour will be cooking the BBQ again this year. At 6:00 PM the first general membership
meeting of the season will begin. Bring a
friend or two to join. This year 2
people will receive “top seller” awards of a free membership next year. Bob and Ardene
were the top sellers last year and will receive a free
membership.
The Board of
Directors meeting is Wednesday, September 23rd at 6:30
PM.
A
few words from Wally Fenlason:
The
main subject that I want to emphasize this season is how much YOUR CLUB NEEDS
SUPPORT FROM ALL OF
Super Raffle tickets will be
available and will be given to each member to sell again this year. Tickets are $2.00 each or six for $10.00
for some very awesome prizes this year. 300 Club tickets will be available once
again where you have the opportunity to win $500, $100, or $50 at each club
meeting throughout the season.
Mark your calendars for the
Landowner’s Recognition Dinner on October 18th at 6:00 p.m. This is an opportunity to thank all the
landowners for allowing us to use their property to get from one trail system to
the other. The Annual Hunter’s
Breakfast will be on Saturday, November
7th.
I look forward to seeing everyone on
Sunday!
